A WORD FROM THE LORD

A WORD FROM THE LORD

Easter, originally a saxon word (Eostre), denoting a goddess of the Saxons, in honour of whom sacrifices were offered about the time of the Passover. Hence the name came to be given to the festival of the Resurrection of Christ; which occurred at the time of the Passover. In the early English versions this word was frequently used as the translation of the Greek pascha (the Passover).

When the Authorized version (1611) was formed, the word Passover was used in all passages in which this word pascha occurred; except in Acts 12:4. In the Revised Version the proper word, Passover, is always used. Jesus is our Passover, because of him we can Passover from sin, death, hell and from all things that would try to keep us from Father God.

If you have not yet Passover, your time has come; through him your entire life can change, (IT IS RESURRECTION TIME). The bonny rabbit cannot save you, but Jesus can, and he will if you ask him today; and you will have the resurrection life of the son of the living God. St. John 1:12 but as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God; even to them that believe on his name:
'God is already here, I can feel his presence, He's already here,
All you have to do is just open up your heart, for God is already here.
PASSOVER, the name given to the chief of the three great historical annual festivals of the Jews. It was kept in remembrance of the Lord's passing over the house of the Israelites (Exodus 12:13); when the first born of all the Egyptians were destroyed. (THE BLOOD OF JESUS WILL GIVE YOU LIFE AND PROTECTION) It is called also the feast of unleavened bread (Ex.23:15, Mark 14:1 and Acts 12:3), because during its celebration no leavened bread was to be eaten or even kept in the household (Ex.12:15). (JESUS IS THE LIVING BREAD WHICH CAME FROM HEAVEN ST JOHN 6:51). The word (Passover) afterwards came to denote the lamb that was slain at the feast (Mark 14:12-14. 1cor.5:7). (IT WAS JESUS THAT WAS CRUCIFIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU AND ME).
A detailed account of the institution of this feast is given in Ex.12 and 13. It was afterwards incorporated in the ceremonial law (Lev.23:4-8), as one of the great festivals of the nation.
(JESUS TELLS, US TO REMEMBER HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION; NOT JUST ON ONE DAY OF THE YEAR, St. Luke 22:1-20 and 1corinthians 11:17-34). It was primarily a commemorative ordinance, reminding the children of Israel of their deliverance out of Egypt; but it was, no doubt, also a type of the great deliverance wrought by the Messiah for all his people from the doom of death on account of sin, and from the bondage of sin itself. A worse than Egyptian bondage (YOU CAN RECEIVE YOUR DELIVERANCE TODAY FROM EVERY BONDAGE, BY FAITH IN JESUS THE SON OF GOD; THROUGH HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION).
'My soul magnifies the lord, and my spirit praise his name, even death could not hold him captive, even in the grave He is lord, even death could not hold him captive, even in the grave He is lord.

MY GOD IS HEALER AND DELIVERER, You can Passover on the other side, trust and believe, he will help you; you can become a new person (1cor.5:7, John 1:29, and 19:32-36, 1peter 1:19, Gal.4:4, 5). He is there for you; God sent his son to bring us back to him. (RESURRECTION TIME, TIME TO PASSOVER).The appearance of Jerusalem on the occasion of the Passover in the time of our Lord is thus fittingly described:- The city itself and the neighbourhood became more and more crowded as the feast approached; the narrow streets and dark arched bazaars showing the same throng of men of all nations as when Jesus had first visited Jerusalem as a boy.(YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE LOST IN THIS DARK CROWDED WORLD OF SIN JESUS IS THE LIGHT,YOU CAN PASSOVER INTO RESURRECTION LIFE TODAY.
